The ceremony was spectacular. The support and attention given unconditionally by the facilitators created a space—or, in their own words, a container—of kindness and sharing that was both pulpable and powerful. From my previous experiences with plant medicine, there has always been an open question as to what the “medicine” really is. Clearly, it is the medicine itself, but my experiences, especially this one, unfailingly leave me with the profound sense that it is in fact the people that are the medicine, and that the medicine and the ceremony are but a sacred ritualisation of that most basic of human needs: community.

My journey then took place at a truly spectacular venue on the bank of the Hennops river…surrounded by nature, rose quartz and tranquility. Jono creates a beautiful, safe and trusting environment using ancient herbs, incense and plant medicine. At all times throughout the journey I felt 100% safe and cared for. The most beautiful playlist, coupled with Jono’s gentle singing voice helped to carry me through some deeply emotional moments. The whole experience opened my heart and brought feelings of self love, safety and the ability to let go of debilitating emotional pain.
